Everyone was shocked by the advertising material for Srikanth Addala’s latest movie Peddha Kapu. The film is produced by Akhanda director Miryala Ravinder Reddy and newbie Virat Karrna plays the major role. Let’s check out the movie.

Story:

The movie, which is set in the 1980s, follows the story of Peddha Kapu (Virat Karrna), a regular guy who overcomes all adversities. Two rival gangs, Satya Rangaiah (Rao Ramesh) and Bhaiyanna (Naren), are always fighting for control. Also during this time, Senior NTR founded the Telugu Desam Party. The film explores how Peddha Kapu becomes a leader amid all the horrifying slaughter.

Plus Points:

The movie’s plot is quite intriguing, and Srikanth Addala created some strong characters. Everyone in the movie, including Virat Karrna, Anasuya, Rao Ramesh, Naren, Brigada Saga, and Pragathi Srivastava, has a crucial role to play. Despite being in his first movie, Virat had a good performance. The action scenes, which are really difficult, show his efforts.

All the important information and plot twists are disclosed in the second half of the movie, which contains a considerable amount of drama. Rao Ramesh doesn’t have a lot of conversation, but the actor dazzles with his gestures and body language. In his function, Naren is effective, and Brigada Saga is as well.

Despite all the horrifying slaughter, Anasuya’s character effectively communicates a subtle message. The actress has once again given a standout performance, and she is quickly becoming the leading choice for such important parts. The greatest recent cinematography comes from Chota K. Naidu. The mind-blowing graphics are accompanied by an upbeat background soundtrack by Micky J. Meyer.

Minus Points:

Peddha Kapu 1’s screenplay is written entirely differently from other movies. Character introductions take up the whole first half, which is unusual in commercial movie theaters.

One may detect hints of movies like Gangs of Wasseypur, Rakthachatritha, and Rangasthalam. Although the excessive use of violence and profanity is consistent with the topic of the movie, some audiences might find it difficult to watch certain sequences.

There are a few unclear moments in the movie’s early half. There were several passages that would have been far better off without speaking, yet the use of repetitious phrases irritated some people.

Technical Details

The songs are right, but Mickey J. Meyer’s background score is outstanding. One of the film’s finest assets is Chota K. Naidu, whose cinematography is nothing short of brilliant.

The art department did a fantastic job of portraying the events of the 1980s in a positive light. The editing complements the director’s intent.

Regarding the film’s director, Srikanth Addala, he told the story as he saw fit, which might not be to everyone’s taste. Although there are traces of previous movies in this one, the effort is still admirable.

Verdict:

Overall, Peddha Kapu 1 is a daring movie that has some audience appeal. The movie goes into great length regarding power dynamics and oppression. Even though it was his first movie, Virat Karrna performed really well, and if he continues to pick strong screenplays, he will succeed. Other artists back him admirably. Those who don’t like slow-moving drama can try it.
