Story:
The film begins with the death of V.S. Rajasekhar Reddy. When V.S.R.’s son, V.S. Madhan Mohan Reddy (Ajmal Amir), learns of his death, he embarks on a yatra to console the families of those who have died. In this regard, Madhan Mohan Reddy is concerned about the CBI. What challenges did Madhan face after his arrest? How did Madhan Mohan Reddy overcome opposition chief Indrababu to become Chief Minister? What sort of assistance did Manasa Radhakrishnan’s Malathi Reddy provide for her husband? This is what Vyooham is all about.

Ajmal Amir did an excellent job as Madhan Mohan Reddy. He emoted very naturally, and he seamlessly slipped into Madhan’s character. Manasa Radhakrishnan provided support for Ajmal Amir and delivered an impressive performance. The actor who played Indrababu was a wonderful fit for the part, demonstrating how well the casting team performed. Rekha Surekha, Vasu Inturi, Kota Jayaram, Dhanunjay Prabhune, and Surabhi Prabhavati were all excellent in their roles. They did an excellent job of imitating political figures.

RGV’s storyline is good, but the screenplay isn’t captivating. It is slow and simple in nature. Several sequences in both halves are extremely boring. The scenes involving Madhan Mohan Reddy and his opponents are more like news snippets, lacking the necessary cinematic touch.
Also, RGV should have cut some unnecessary political scenes, which would have greatly improved the film. RGV should have focused more on the screenplay. Also, the pacing is generally slow. The first half is centered on three to four characters, and we get the impression that the film is stretched.
There is nothing new in the film. Most people are aware that details about real-life politicians were depicted in the movie. The same information was presented in dialogue format rather than visuals, which did not help the film.
Technical aspects:
RGV was unable to properly translate his thoughts onto the big screen. Anand’s compositions are decent. Cinematographer Sajeesh Rajendran captured the natural locations beautifully. Manish Thakur’s editing could have been much better. The production values are excellent.
Verdict:
On the whole, there are only a few good scenes in Vyooham. Also, the symbolic shots turned out well. However, the film suffers greatly from the screenplay’s repetitive nature, boring sequences, and slow pacing. A few aspects of Vyooham will appeal to YSRCP supporters, but for the most part, this political drama is a huge disappointment.
