According to Outlook, the first two episodes of the series will be released on Disney+ Hotstar during the premiere. The remaining episodes of the ten-episode limited series will be released one per week.

Disney+ Hotstar’s Shogun: The Plot
Shogun is available on Disney+. Hotstar is a medieval Japan-set epic that will premiere on February 27, 2024. The show will transport us to 1600s Japan. The audience will have the opportunity to witness a pivotal civil war that will alter the course of Japanese society and last nearly a century.
The plot of the FX show takes a turn when a European ship capsizes near an island. Lord Yoshii Toranaga’s English pilot is John Blackthorne. Toranaga’s path is difficult because his enemies, the Council of Regents, are out for his blood.
Movie has an intriguing plot in which Blackthorne eventually comes to Toranaga’s aid. He gives the lord vital information that could tip the scales in his favor. Toranaga sees this as an opportunity to strike his formidable adversaries, the Portuguese merchants and the Jesuit priests.
Toranaga and Blackthorne are linked by a common goal as the FX series progresses. They are competing for the attention of their translator, Toda Mariko. Mariko is a mysterious Christian noblewoman.
According to the official plot of Shogun, Mariko must reconcile her newfound relationship with Blackthorne while faithfully serving her master Toranaga.
Disney+ Hotstar’s Shogun: The Cast
Shogun, which will be available on Disney+ Hotstar, will feature a large ensemble cast. The size and scope of the show’s cast will be perceived as unprecedented by the audience. Lord Yoshii Taranaga, played by Hiroyuki Sanada, will be a pivotal character.
Hiroto Kanai, Tadanobu Asano, Takehiro Hira, Moeka Hoshi, Tokuma Nishioka, and Shinnosuke Abe will be among those joining Sanaga. Yuki Kura, Yuka Kouri, and Fumi Nikaido will also join the cast as key characters.

Shogun’s executive producer and showrunner will be Justin Marks. He will be joined by Edward L. McDonell and Michaela Clavell. The show was also produced by Erika Miyagawa and Kondo Sanada.
Shogun will premiere on Disney+ Hotstar on February 27, 2024.
