Today marks the premiere of the short film Raghava Reddy in theaters, starring Siva Kantamneni and Nandita Swetha.

Story:

Raghava Reddy (Siva Kantamneni), a professor at a college who specializes in solving criminal cases, meets Lucky (Nandita Swetha) there, and their differences stem from her attitude. Raghava Reddy learns details about his daughter as the story develops. Who is the girl that he has? What connection does Devaki (Rashi) have to his tale? The story’s core is formed by the events that are transpiring.

Bonus Points:

Siva Kantamneni plays his role so well that he looks great in action sequences. There is a noticeable emotional bond between him and Rashi.

Rashi does a respectable job portraying her character, and Nandita Swetha fits the part perfectly. Excellent performances are given by supporting actors such as Posani Krishnamurali, Ajay, Raghu Babu, Annapurna, and others.

The roles of Praveen, Ajay Gosh, and Bithiri Satthi are justified, adding to the emotional depth of the movie.

Negative Points:

Despite his best efforts, director Sanjeevi Megoti is unable to produce a film with a rapid pace. A lot of the first half’s scenes are dull and uninspired, and the regular comedy doesn’t really make an impression.

It would have been beneficial to make greater use of the lead characters’ emotional depth. The second half of the story and the pre-climax have slow-paced scenes that detract from the otherwise ordinary story and screenplay.

The lack of nuance in Nandita’s performance and Rashi’s character design causes the work to not fit the intended genre.

Technical Details:

Although Sanjeev, the director, manages action scenes deftly, his overall control over the movie is lacking. The production, editing, photography, and musical score teams all contribute their best work to the movie.

Conclusion:

Raghava Reddy is an action and emotional drama that moves slowly and is dull overall. With the exception of Siva Kantamneni’s mediocre performance and a couple of good action sequences, the film suffers from a tedious screenplay and pointless scenes in both halves. This weekend, avoid the movie and look for other things to do.
