Jyothika Saravanan, a Shaitaan actress who goes by her moniker, is primarily employed in the Malayalam, Tamil, and Telugu cinema industries. She made her cinematic debut in the Bollywood picture Doli Saja Ke Rakhna, however, she did not feature in any Hindi films after that. The actress talked candidly recently about her time away from the Hindi film industry. See more by scrolling below.

One of the most well-known actresses in Tamil film, she has received numerous honors for her performances, including a National Film Award. Her roles in films such as Chandramukhi, Kushi, Dumm Dumm Dumm, Poovellam Un Vasam, and Mozhi helped her gain fame.

In a recent interview with News 18, the Shaitaan actress talked about her reasons for leaving Bollywood to work in the South Indian film industry. She was in just one Bollywood movie. “I never once had an offer for a Hindi film,” Jyothika declared. I fell into the genre by mistake 27 years ago and have worked only in South films since then. My first Hindi movie didn’t do well in theaters. Everything relies heavily on formulas.

“Your first film needs to run for you to receive more offers,” she clarified. There was a whole wave of young women working for major production companies when I first started my career. As luck would have it, my movie, which was produced by a major banner, didn’t run. Fortunately, I had stepped away from Bollywood and signed a South film.

Jyothika added that she received offers for films because of how well she did in her debut picture. “I would also like to bring it to notice that even that film didn’t work at the box office,” the actress continued. However, I was cast in a lot of movies based on the reviews I got for my role. There was undoubtedly a striking disparity between the two businesses.

The Shaitaan actress said, “People in Bollywood also assumed that I was a South Indian and that I didn’t want to do Hindi films anymore.” I am still grateful that I went on that cruise. I made some incredible stuff there. It’s not like I said no to a Hindi film project. I haven’t had an offer for a screenplay in a very long time.

Jyothika last appeared with R Madhavan and opposite Ajay Devgn in Shaitaan. She played a really good role in that film. You may watch the movie on Netflix.
