Severance Season 2: Apple Teaser Video Reveals Adam Scott’s Return To Lumon; All We Know Thus Far

The central theme of Severance is Lumon Industries, an enigmatic business whose workers are forced to go through a contentious separation procedure.

In Severance season 2, we finally see a sight of Mark Scout (Adam Scott) after more than two years of waiting. Apple released the first trailers for several films and television series that will be available on streaming services this year, including Season 2 of Severance, on June 10.

A contentious severance process is applied to employees of Lumon Industries, a mysterious firm, in the critically praised Apple TV series Severance, which debuted in 2022.

An implant in the brain causes a person’s consciousness to be split into two states of awareness that are mutually exclusive. The individual giving their agreement to the procedure is what makes it happen. The name “innie” refers to one who works there. When the other exits the building and starts talking about their personal lives, they are referred to as “outies.”

Since both states are ignorant of each other’s existence, the process is contentious. An employee of Lumon loses all awareness of their personal life when they ride the elevator to the second floor, and vice versa.

The first season of the show concluded on a cliffhanger, with severance employees Mark, Irving (John Turturro), and Helly (Britt Lower) being brought back as Mark’s pained visage fades as his innie recedes into his memory.

Severance season 2 footage is explored

The season two trailer shows Mark Scout being welcomed back by none other than a balloon-toting Seth Milchick (Tramell Tillman), an avid supporter of the severance process. The trailer then cuts to Scout racing through the facility, carrying a handful of similar blue balloons with his face on some of them.

In another clip, Mark Scout can be seen lying on a conference table, oscillating between his “innie” and “outie” personalities, implying a severance system glitch. The third clip shows him in an elevator, shouting “Wait!” as the doors close.

And, as we eagerly await the beginning of Severance season 2, here’s all we know about the forthcoming series.

Who will appear in Severance Season 2?

Given that season one ended on a cliffhanger with no deaths, it’s safe to assume that all of the major players will return, including Adam Scott, Patricia Arquette, and John Turturro.

Esquire reports that the show will include new cast members such as Bob Balaban, Robby Benson, Stefano Carannante, Gwendoline Christie, John Noble, Ólafur Darri Ólafsson, Alia Shawkat, and Merritt Wever.

When will Season 2 premiere?

There is no release date for Severance season 2. According to several reports, filming began in October 2022 and is anticipated to wrap in late 2023. However, the premiere date was pushed back as production was halted in May 2023 due to the writer’s strike. Filming resumed in January 2024, with the show expected to air in late 2024 or early 2025.
