After starring in Baahubali: The Conclusion, Prabhas rose to prominence in the South.
Following the release of SS Rajamouli’s Baahubali: The Beginning in 2015, Prabhas emerged as the new romantic interest for a lot of Indian girls. His strong performance as Mahendra and Amarendra Baahubali won him hearts. The actor’s fame soared as a result of the film becoming a smash hit. In addition to the North, the South also grew accustomed to seeing him. Alongside Rana Daggubati, Anushka Shetty, Tamannaah Bhatia, Ramya Krishnan, Nassar, and others, the film stars.
Prabhas rose to prominence in the South as a result of Baahubali: The Conclusion. Unsurprisingly, his female fan base experienced a notable surge as well, and everyone was curious about his future plans. The actor starred in Saaho in 2019 after delivering two enormous blockbusters. In addition to Shraddha Kapoor, Chunky Pandey, Jackie Shroff, Arun Vijay, and others, the action thriller is directed by Sujeeth.
In contrast to his Baahubali films, Prabhas’ character in Saaho was entirely different. Thus, the actor once claimed in an interview that the movie would make women despise him. The actor from Salaar discussed how different his character is in an interview with Reddif in 2019 and how hard it is for him to keep up the persona he developed in SS Rajamouli’s masterpiece.
“Yes, after watching Saaho, women might hate me for a while,” Prabhas stated. But it will be nearly impossible for me to keep up my Baahubali persona in my upcoming releases. If every movie features the same image, we won’t be able to amuse the audience. Strong scripts have the potential to destroy your reputation. The most significant factor in establishing or damaging an actor’s reputation is the screenplay. In addition, viewers will watch any movie, regardless of how you appear. It is preferable to enter the business sector and produce a screenplay-based movie.
The movie was simultaneously filmed in Hindi and Telugu. Regretfully, it was not as successful as his Rajamouli films. Prabhas was questioned about how he manages the attention he receives from women in the same interview. The actor disclosed that he would never approach girls in school unless they approached him. For him, the attention has been a lovely experience after Baahubali.
Nag Ashwin’s science fiction epic dystopian drama Kalki 2898 AD is Prabhas’ upcoming project. Prakash Raj, Deepika Padukone, Amitabh Bachchan, and Disha Patani are also featured in the movie. The movie is expected to hit theaters on May 9, 2024. There had been rumors that the movie would be delayed because of the elections. The creators haven’t, however, released any formal word on the matter.
