Sandeep Reddy Vanga revealed his upcoming film Spirit, starring Prabhas, last year. Following the triumph of the Hindi movie Animal, which starred Rashmika Mandanna and Ranbir Kapoor, the director made the decision to go back to his native Telugu. Their fans have been ecstatic since the announcement of his film starring the Baahubali actor.
Spirit is going to be yet another violent movie—the kind of stories that director Kabir Singh loves to tell. According to a Telugu Cinema report, Vanga and his brother—who is also a producer—made Rs. 200 crore on the Ranbir-starring film.
The salary for each film directed by SS Rajamouli ranges from Rs 100 to Rs 150 crore. Sandeep may receive compensation equal to that of the Baahubali director if his upcoming Telugu movie earns at least Rs 1000 crore at the box office. According to the report, T-Series and the director of Animal are co-financing the movie. For the pre-release, they have enormous plans. Animal’s success was very beneficial to everyone. Like Rajamouli, Vanga should get paid between 125 and 150 crores if everything goes according to plan.
In the meantime, Prabhas is in the violent police thriller Spirit. The narrative was written by Sandeep. The story of the movie is supposedly set in the same universe as Ranbir Kapoor’s Animal, according to earlier reports. Production designer Suresh previously stated to India Today that Vanga’s upcoming project is more ambitious than his 2023 Hindi movie. Thus, there is a good deal of anticipation for what he will bring to the Telugu film industry.
In addition, Prabhas is working on 2898 in addition to Spirit. The sci-fi dystopian film, directed by Nag Ashwin, features Amitabh Bachchan, Kamal Haasan, Deepika Padukone, and Disha Patani among its cast members. May 9, 2024, is when the film is anticipated to open in theaters.
