Indian movies on Netflix have had a successful week, as seen by Laapataa Ladies’ debut on the Global Top 10 lists.
Since three Hindi movies made it into the top 10 worldwide movies that are trending on Netflix this week, it has been a successful week for Hindi movies there. However, Kiran Rao’s Laapataa Ladies deserve special recognition for their outstanding debut on the streaming behemoth’s initial charts.

Social media users have been praising Kiran Rao’s film, which debuted on Netflix with 2.2 million views and peaked at number five worldwide.
Two more Hindi films, Article 370 by Yami Gautam and All India Rank by Varun Grover, entered the world’s top 10 list of non-English films this week. Varun’s academic drama debuted timidly at number 10, while the political drama held rank 3 in the second week.
Perhaps the Record Higher In Week Two
Laapataa Ladies may become popular in the same manner as Yami Gautam’s Article 370 on the massive streaming platform. It debuted in the Netflix Global Top 10 charts last week, but it only received 2.1 million views, ending up at number 8. In week two, it added 3.7 million views, propelling it to number 3.
In contrast to Yami Gautam’s Article 370, Kiran Rao’s charming drama has performed better in its first week of release. The comedy-drama, which is presently showing in theaters, debuted with 2.2 million views worldwide at number five.
