Ajay Devgn and Rohit Shetty, the guests on the most recent episode of Karan Johar’s chat show Koffee With Karan 8, had a lengthy conversation about movies. During the show, the two also discussed the generational divide. Regarding the younger generation of actors, what are your thoughts? Karan Johar asked his guests. Do you believe they still have that will to fight? The director retorted I believe they are getting too much validation from strangers on social media or too much insecurity.
KJo then enquired as to whether upcoming actors have a propensity for overanalyzing. How easily y’all did two three hero films. I don’t see that happening today. I don’t think they have the security of doing two or three hero films, he said. To which Ajay Devgn replied, I don’t think they have the security of doing solos also. They decide whether or not to do this or that after three years.
Ajay Devgn also spoke about social media during the episode and he said, Today you go on social media, read so many things like nepotism, etc but people don’t realize that the generations have put in a great deal of effort to get to this point. This is not a simple tale.
