The teaser, dubbed “Drop 1,” was finally released yesterday after much anticipation. We were only given a brief overview of the film’s characters and plot. Even the indifferent audience is eager to see what Shah Rukh Khan and Rajkumar Hirani, two experts in their respective domains, have to offer on the big screen because this is their first collaboration.
In addition to Shah Rukh Khan, Boman Irani, Taapsee Pannu, and Vicky Kaushal all played significant roles in Dunki’s teaser. With a vibe reminiscent of a vintage Rajkumar Hirani movie, Drop 1 has amassed an enormous YouTube following. It has received 36.8 million views on the platform in its first day of availability, which is truly remarkable.
With this, it has significantly outperformed the YouTube teaser for Tiger 3. For those who are unaware, the “Tiger Ka Message” teaser received 9 million views on the platform on its first day of release. It is trailing behind Dunki by a significant margin of 27.8 million views at this point.
Even though these two highly anticipated Indian films of 2023 are coming out in different months, it’s still a fun comparison.
Shah Rukh Khan’s third film of the year, Dunki, follows the hugely successful Pathaan and Jawan. In any case, Prashanth Neel’s Salaar, starring Prabhas, is set to release on December 22 and will provide fierce competition.
Regarding Tiger 3, pre-sales have already commenced in the international market, and thus far, the response has been outstanding. The movie will have full-day premieres in a few international locations before it opens on November 12th.
