Dunki Box Office Day 15 (Early Trends): Outperforms Salman Khan’s Prem Ratan Dhan Payo!

Dunki maintained a steady pace at the on day 15 and surpassed Prem Ratan Dhan Payo’s lifetime at the Indian box office.

Dunki, Bollywood’s final major release of 2023, was a box office success in India, capping off the year on a high note for the industry. The film maintained a steady pace after crossing the 200 crore mark, and here’s how it performed on day 15, i.e., second Thursday!

Shah Rukh Khan and director Rajkumar Hirani’s first collaboration was highly anticipated. However, when the film was released in theaters, both critics and audiences had mixed feelings about it.

It did have an impact on the box office, but this dream collaboration still came out on top.

Dunki’s 200-crore victory and consistent run

Dunki benefited from the Christmas and New Year’s celebrations. As a result, it even supported a mass-market film like Salaar, which is also doing well in the Hindi belt. The Shah Rukh Khan-starrer recently entered the 200 crore club and is steadily progressing after a drop.

In 15 days, Dunki will have crossed the Prem Ratan Dhan Payo!

Dunki earned 3.50 crores on the second Wednesday (day 14), and on day 15, with another regular drop, the film earned 2.70-3 crores, according to early trends. According to estimates, the collection at the Indian box office will be between 208.78 and 209.08 crores.

Dunki has surpassed the lifetime collection of Salman Khan’s Prem Ratan Dhan Payo (207.40 crores) in just 15 days. The next target is Salman’s Bharat (211.07 crores).

In the coming days, the film will surpass the collection of Chennai Express (227 crores) to become Shah Rukh Khan’s third highest net grosser of all time at the Indian box office. It will also surpass Kick (233 crores) and The Kerala Story (238.27 crores) before finishing its lifetime run.

Rajkumar Hirani makes a fortune!

Rajkumar Hirani received more points in the Koimoi Directors’ Ranking after Dunki entered the 200 crore club at the Indian box office, and he even surpassed Siddharth Anand to take second place. Rohit Shetty is on top.

Hirani’s promotion to second place appears to be temporary, as Anand’s Fighter is set to be released this month. He’ll almost certainly use Fighter to defeat Hirani. More information can be found by clicking here.
