BTS’s Jungkook continues to shatter records on the “left and right”.

Jungkook of BTS is unstoppable as the K-pop sensation extends his ‘Golden’ streak on Billboard, spending five weeks straight in the top 40.

Maknae Jungkook, a member of the South Korean boy band BTS, is personally fulfilling his mandatory military service. Nevertheless, he maintains a strong professional image thanks to his farewell gift, “Golden,” to his ARMY of supporters. November 3, 2023, was the release date of Jungkook’s debut album, which came out just one month before he enlisted. The pop sensation went on a promotional rampage after the release of “Golden,” hosting his first solo concert in Seoul, which BTS leader RM also attended.

For those who don’t know, RM, V, Jimin, and Jungkook, four members of BTS, recently started their mandatory military service. Together with Jin, J-Hope, and Suga, they had a bittersweet OT7 reunion to start this journey.

Following the group’s 2022 break, BTS members started their individual musical careers.

Though he was the last member of BTS to release his first studio album, “Golden,” Jungkook appears to have become the most successful Korean artist of all time, surpassing his fellow members. The “Seven” crooner added yet another magnificent feather to his decorated cap when he became the first Korean solo artist to have an album chart in the top 40 of the Billboard 200 for five weeks in a row.

Another noteworthy achievement for Jungkook is his impressive 17-week run at number 16 on Billboard’s Artist 100 list this week. “Standing Next To You,” his solo single, took back the top spot on Billboard’s Digital Sales chart. As a result, the song has continued to be the best-selling single in the US for three weeks running.

In addition, Jungkook’s album “Golden” has already received over 2 billion plays on Spotify, making it the fastest album in the history of the audio-streaming service to reach this milestone for a K-pop soloist. Prior to this, JK’s “Seven” became the fastest song in history to reach one billion streams on Spotify in just 109 days, defeating Miley Cyrus’ “Flowers” to claim the top spot.

Despite taking a break from his career to enlist in the military, Jungkook is still adding to his extensive resume. It is safe to say that the golden maknae will always be “With You,” shattering records on the “Left and Right.”
