Jungkook: Cha Eun Woo gives Jungkook a military watch

Prior to enlisting in the military, Jungkook conducted a live session. However, Jin interrupted the session with his hilarious banter.

Alongside bandmates RM, Jimin, and V, BTS Jungkook is getting ready for his mandatory military enlistment. The Makane, who broke records left and right in 2023 as a result of his solo debut album Golden, held his last live performance on Friday before going to the military training facility. Fans were expecting a farewell from Jungkook before his upcoming enlistment, so it was doubly problematic when Jin, who is currently completing his required military duty, interrupted the session.

For those who may not know, all physically capable men in South Korea must enlist in the army and serve between 18 and 21 months. According to an update released by his agency, BigHit Entertainment, BTS members Jin, Suga, and J-Hope are currently serving in the South Korean army, while RM, Jimin, V, and Jungkook are expected to enlist before the year is out.

Following a group live session with BTS’s surviving members, Jungkook turned to Weverse in an informal manner to interact with ARMYs, striking up a discussion about life, music, and, of course, his impending enlistment. While this was going on, Jin made the decision to bombard JK’s live feed with his famous “Ke Ke Ke Ke Ke” remark, which seemed to indicate he was laughing aloud. The “Epiphany” singer interrupted Jungkook’s live chat repeatedly during his session, adding a playful element to the otherwise somber mood. Fans of BTS have been feeling particularly anxious as all of the members will be enlisting in the military in the upcoming days. As part of his hyung (older brother) responsibilities, Jin gave the “Seven” singer some advice as well.

During his live stream, 26-year-old Jungkook also disclosed that Cha Eun Woo gave him a priceless present.

The BTS member and the ASTRO singer have a close friendship. Both are ’97-liners, or people who were born in 1997. Prior to his enlistment, JK disclosed that Cha Eun Woo, the star of the current K-drama A Good Day to Be a Dog, gave him a military watch as a kind gesture.

In addition to entertaining his audience live, Jungkook also held in-house concerts. The vocalist was heard crooning “Love Maze” and “Yes or No.”

The Left & Right singer was spotted sporting a baseball cap and had chopped off his hair prior to enlisting in the military. He was observed covering his bald head when the remaining members were in a live session.

Fans were moved by Jungkook’s live performance, but they also found much-needed humor in his humorous antics during the oppressive military era.
