When it was revealed that Akshay Kumar would be returning with a cast of actors for Housefull 5, there was a frenzy of excitement. The cast of the movie featured Anil Kapoor and Nana Patekar, the welcoming duo. Even Abhishek Bachchan recently joined the ensemble, in the meantime. However, sources currently state that Anil Kapoor left the movie.
Anil Kapoor’s Exit From Housefull 5
According to these rumors, the Fighter actor’s salary demands were something that producer Sajid Nadiadwala was unwilling to accept, which ultimately resulted in the superstar’s departure from the project.
Anil Kapoor has been on a roll since the previous year. The actor starred in one of the year’s greatest blockbusters, Animal, portraying Ranbir Kapoor’s father. He was also seen in Fighter, which had an excellent character journey.
Is there no bad blood involved?
According to a Mid Day report, Anil Kapoor stepped out of Housefull 5, but there is no ill blood between him and producer Sajid Nadiadwala because the contract was simply about money and did not work out the way both of them intended.
Has Anil Kapoor’s Pay Increased By 250%?
While Anil Kapoor was paid a reported 2 crore for Ranbir Kapoor’s Animal, he received 7 crore for Fighter. Since the two films were released over a month ago, there have been several stories of AK’s wage increase. However, both of these films were signed at the same time, and Anil Kapoor played different roles in each. So we’re not sure if the actor requested a staggering 7 crore like his previous flick Fighter. But the only indication is that whatever he sought was much beyond Sajid Nadiadwala’s expectations.
Akshay Kumar’s Double Trouble!
Anil Kapoor’s departure from Housefull 5 is undoubtedly a blow to the film’s touted casting. Meanwhile, Akshay Kumar is facing double difficulty as he attempts to make a comeback in comedy with Welcome 3 and Housefull 5.
In other developments, Sanjay Dutt has pulled out of Welcome To Jungle, the third installment of the franchise, due to creative and scheduling conflicts.
