All Elite Wrestling (AEW) has announced that Edge, a.k.a. Adam Joseph Copeland, has made his debut. As the wrestler’s contract with WWE expired on September 30, rumors about his future in the sport circulated among the uninitiated. Even though Adam received an email concerning a contract extension in his inbox, there had been widespread chatter about him joining AEW during the previous weeks.

Now onto more recent events: Christian Cage, his longtime tag partner and fellow Canadian wrestler, defeated Darby Allin to win the main event and retain the TNT championship before Edge made his big entrance. When Cade, Lucharsarus, and their new buddy, Nick Wayne, attacked Allin and Sting, Adam entered the ring. Learn more about his thrilling AEW debut by reading on.

According to Wrestling Inc. just as Christian Cage, Luchasaurus, and Wayne were about to complete their attack on Darby Allin and Sting, Edge made a stunning entrance. Then the lights went out and a Grindhouse-inspired movie of a man speeding around Seattle in a luxurious automobile was played. The “Metalingus” theme by Alter Bridge, which Adam famously utilized in the WWE, blasted when the lights came up in the Climate Pledge Arena. Then, Copeland emerged from a cloud of smoke and fireworks.

While it appeared like Edge might have assisted Cage and his team in putting the finishing touches on the project, the former WWE wrestler instead whacked Wayne with a chair and shook hands with Darby Allin and Sting.

On the WWE SmackDown program on August 18, Edge played his final WWE bout. In addition to Adam’s victory over Sheamus in Toronto, the contest marked his 25th year with WWE. The WWE Hall of Famer declared that encounter to be his final under his then-current WWE contract before entering the ring.
