Salman Khan, the megastar of Bollywood, has recently released the third installment of the Tiger series, which is incredibly popular with viewers. Filmed by Band Baaja Baaraat director Maneesh Sharma, Katrina Kaif makes a comeback as Zoya. The movie debuted in theaters today to a strong buzz. Was Tiger 3 a worthy addition to the lineup? Was it on par with Tiger Zinda Hai, Ek Tha Tiger, and other movies in the YRF Spy Universe? Let’s investigate.

Story:

Former ISI agent Aatish Rehman (Emraan Hashmi) is up to something, and a RAW agent tells Avinash Singh Rathore, a.k.a. Tiger (Salman Khan). However, Aatish Rehman is two steps ahead of Tiger and devises a clever strategy to foil Tiger. So what had Tiger done? What exactly is Aatish Rehman aiming to accomplish? In what ways did Katrina Kaif’s Zoya help Tiger with this mission? The film revolves around this.

Plus Points:

The film starts intriguingly. With a nice twist, the first few minutes were thrilling. The audience is treated to a few good moments in the second half. The second hour features a few appearances by Tiger franchise characters, who are well-used in the action sequences.

Salman Khan does action scenes well, and he gives his all when performing action blocks. His entrance scene is well thought out. Salman Khan and Shah Rukh Khan’s combination scenes are the film’s greatest feature. Seeing these two biggest stars in one frame together was a treat. It makes you feel better, and Shah Rukh Khan’s entrance scene is too good. The entire action sequence was expertly shot, and Shah Rukh’s hilarious antics kept the audience entertained for a while.

As Zoya, Katrina Kaif is a formidable presence that never lets you down. She looked amazing doing the stunts, and she had a great on-screen presence. In a significant role, Simran is fine. The scene after the credits is really impressive.

Negative Points:

The story starts interestingly but then becomes boring. The first half is largely uneventful, with drab scenes. The storyline of Tiger 3 may not be to everyone’s taste in Indian cinema. It is difficult to feel a connection to the characters because there is no emotional connection at all. Although the plots of the other YRF Spy Universe movies weren’t particularly strong, their entertainment value made them work. Sadly, there isn’t a lot of entertaining content in Tiger 3.

Surprisingly, the Tiger franchise has fewer high points than one might think. The majority of the storytelling is uninteresting. Another major flaw is the weak writing on the villain’s part. Although Emraan Hashmi is a talented artist, his part is overdone.

In the past, there were grievances regarding Pathaan’s visual effects. Tiger 3 has the same problem as well. The entire experience is hampered by the poor visual effects. Despite the well-composed fight scenes, the impact is limited by the startling visuals. Tiger 3 lacks a compelling soundtrack and memorable songs that could elevate the movie.

Technical Features:

Songs by Pritam are mediocre, and Tanuj Tiku’s background score is unimpressive. Tiger 3, a large-scale movie, required superior soundtracks. Anay Om’s cinematography is excellent. Editing is done well.

Because the movie only functions in fragments, Maneesh Sharma, the director, was unable to give it his all. With the cameos and a few enjoyable moments in the second half, Tiger 3 is a passable movie.

Decision:

Overall, Tiger 3 falls short of the high expectations as it only partially entertains. Salman Khan does a fantastic job in an action role, and the moments he and Shah Rukh Khan share make the movie very interesting. Following an unsatisfactory first half, there is some improvement in the second hour.
