Prabhas rose to prominence following the release of SS Rajamouli’s Baahubali: The Beginning in 2015. The crowd was astounded by the movie’s grandeur and the actor’s performance. Another performer who earned a lot of praise was Sharad Kelkar. The actor voiced Prabhas’ character in the Hindi version. Kelkar’s voice acting was so superb that it appeared like the South actor himself was saying the words in Hindi.

Following Baahubali 1, Sharad also played Amarendra and Mahendra Baahubali in Baahubali: The Conclusion. The actor is returning to voice the character in SS Rajamouli’s animated series, Baahubali: Crown of Blood. In an interview, Sharad Kelkar discusses voicing Prabhas’ role and the subsequent offers he received.

Sharad Kelkar on dubbing for Baahubali films and typecasting

“Things have both positive and negative aspects. Baahubali, of course, received more appreciation. The identity was larger. After Baahubali, many filmmakers approached me because of my voice. I dub well, but it doesn’t guarantee that I’ll play a job that requires a decent voice. I am an actress first and foremost; I can perform, and my voice is versatile. They were not approaching me as an actor, so I began declining their requests. Because then it’s a very simple cast, and I don’t believe that. “I want to try new roles and do new work,” Sharad Kelkar stated in an interview.

Sharad Kelkar also stated that for the previous two years, people had trusted his talent in an interview with Indian Express. In Rajkummar Rao’s Srikanth, the audience will witness his varied side. “To avoid being stuck in a stereotype,” he remarked, “I try to play a variety of roles.” The best is yet to come, and I am waiting for the good days.
