Actor, YouTuber, and former Bigg Boss Telugu contestant Shanmukh Jaswanth is facing legal problems after it was purportedly found that ganja was found at his Hyderabad home, which resulted in his arrest. In addition, his brother Sampath Vinay is accused of deceiving a woman he dated for years and got engaged to, only to marry another woman a week before their wedding. The aggrieved woman filed a complaint with the Hyderabad Police, accusing Sampath of cheating and claiming that Shanmukh’s parents urged her to move on, knowing he was now married to someone else.
According to reports, police arrived at Shanmukh’s residence in Hyderabad on Wednesday evening to arrest his brother.
Despite the fact that his brother was not present, Shanmukh was discovered in possession of Ganja and arrested. The police have filed separate cases against both brothers, and investigations are ongoing. RTV revealed details of the complaint, in which the ex-fiance expressed initial reservations about the relationship but was persuaded by Shanmukh to date his brother. She also claimed that a constable named Javed pressured her to withdraw the case.
Shanmukh faced legal trouble in 2021 after being arrested in Hyderabad for driving under the influence of alcohol. The accident occurred when he collided with three parked cars and two bicycles. His blood alcohol concentration (BAC) was measured at 170 mg/100 milliliter. Following his arrest, he appeared in court and was ordered to seek counseling at a traffic training institute. Shanmukh allegedly tried to influence the police and skipped a counseling session prior to receiving his sentence, according to The Indian Express.

Shanmukh gained notoriety for his part in the short film Viva, which was co-directed by his brother and Sabarish Kandregula. Harsha Chemudu, who starred in the film, rose to prominence as well. Shanmukh also had a romantic relationship with YouTuber and actor Deepthi Sunaina, with whom he collaborated on several music videos. However, their relationship ended after Shanmukh competed in the fifth season of Bigg Boss Telugu in 2021, finishing second. Later, in 2022, he played the lead in the Aha web series Agent Anand Santhosh.
