Saif Ali Khan defeated Shah Rukh Khan’s Swades to win a National Award, and SRK made sure to mention it during one of his chats!
People have recently questioned the jury’s decision to give Allu Arjun for Pushpa the National Award while neglecting Vicky Kaushal for Sardar Udham after the list of winners was released. When Shah Rukh Khan was passed over for Swades during the National Award, a same scenario happened. The celebrity, though, made sure to state this fact in a public setting.
Veer Zara and Swades, two outstanding films that Shah Rukh Khan produced in 2004, are both. In both movies, he gave an outstanding performance. In the same year, he produced the equally blockbuster movie Main Hoon Naa. The National Film Awards gave him a royal snub despite the fact that he had garnered praise for all three of them at other award ceremonies.

I received a call from Mom asking me to board the first aircraft home. I declined, explaining that I would have to pay for my own ticket. Additionally, I believed I didn’t deserve it because I am genetically related to my father, though I now disagree with that belief.
For those who are unfamiliar, Shah Rukh Khan portrayed a NASA engineer in the film Swades. He returned to his village and wanted to take his caregiver back to America, but he was conflicted between his undeveloped, screaming-for-attention roots in an Indian hamlet and the pleasures of a foreign country since he had to select one. Ashutosh Gowarikar, who also acted in the movie, received high praise.
