There were rumors that Salman Khan was to be the target of a second attempt in Navi Mumbai.
The shooting outside Salman Khan’s Galaxy Apartment in Mumbai occurred more than a month ago. Gunshots were heard early in the morning from two men riding a bike. Luckily, nobody in the family was harmed. Six people have been taken into custody by the Mumbai police as they investigate the matter. There has been frightening news of another attempt to attack the celebrity.
According to sources, Salman Khan was to be targeted again in Navi Mumbai. The “Tiger 3” actor was on his way to his Panvel farmhouse at the time of the planned attack. On Saturday, the detectives stated that they arrested numerous people in connection with the event last week.
A second attempt to attack Salman Khan in Navi Mumbai
According to the Indian Express, gangster Lawrence Bishnoi is suspected of being behind Salman Khan’s second attack attempt. The gang has been threatening the superstar for some time, purportedly because of Khan’s 1998 case in which he shot a blackbuck in Rajasthan while filming “Hum Saath Saath Hain.”
The investigation also states that at least 16-17 persons were involved in plotting the second attempt on Salman. In February 2024, the gang even carried out a reconnaissance in Panvel. The police detained Dhananjay Tapesingh, aka Ajay Kashyap, Gaurav Bhatia, nicknamed Nahvi, Vapsi Khan, aka Waseem Chikna, and Rizwan Khan.
Deputy Commissioner of Police Vivek Pansare told the daily, “We have made four arrests in this matter. The accused had been planning to target the actor for a long time and had stayed in Panvel to perform reconnaissance.” According to Pansare, multiple gangs were operating independently in Bishnoi. They assume that one gang was in Panvel while the other was in Mumbai, referring to the incident that occurred at Salman Khan’s Bandra flat in Mumbai.
AK-47 and Pakistan Connection
According to the press report, Panvel Senior Inspector Nitin Thakre was informed that several members of the Bishnoi gang were in Panvel. According to the FIR and tip, they were in Panvel on a reconnaissance mission. Furthermore, one of the gang members, Ajay Kashyap, was in contact with a man named Dogar, who is thought to be from Pakistan. Kashyap intended to obtain AK-47s to attack Salman Khan. The cops discovered that after completing their task, the gang members planned to go underground, rendezvous in Kanyakumari, and travel to Sri Lanka together.
Four men arrested in the Panvel case will be interrogated by Navi Mumbai police. The police will also look into if these persons were involved in the Mumbai attacks.
