Raju Yadav Review: A disappointing drama about love

“Raju Yadav,” directed by Krishnamachary and released on May 24, 2024, garners an evaluation of 3.25 out of 5. The film stars Jabardasth Sunny, Santosh Kalwacharla, Mirchi Hemanth, Ankitha Kharat, Ananda Chakrapani, and Getup Srinu, and is produced by Rajesh Kallepalli and Prashanth Reddy. With music direction by Harshavardhan Rameshwar and Suresh Bobbili, and cinematography by Sai Ram Uday D.F.Tech, the movie fails to captivate audiences, lacking compelling storytelling or noteworthy performances. Editor Reddy Bonthala Nageswara’s efforts also fail to salvage the overall viewing experience, resulting in a forgettable cinematic endeavor.

For the film Raju Yadav, well-known comedian Getup Srinu plays a hero. Ankitha Kharat plays the major female role in the Krishnamachary-directed film. Let’s check out the movie.

Story:

The life of Mahabubnagar resident Raju Yadav (Getup Srinu) is completely turned upside down when he is struck by a cricket ball. A facial condition results from this, which causes Raju Yadav to always smile. Although Raju’s family cannot afford the procedure, the doctors encourage him to have it done. Raju’s life is falling apart, but one day he meets Sweety (Ankitha Kharat) and he falls in love with her on sight. At its core, the story is about how Sweety transformed Raju’s life.

Positive Points:

The main character, played by Raju Yadav, is required to have the same expression no matter what happens in the film. Getup Srinu performed admirably in this love drama, even though this is undoubtedly a difficult undertaking. Even in sequences where the writing is weak, the actor made numerous attempts to improve the picture.

One or two amusing scenes with Getup Srinu and his friends make people chuckle. The emotional scenes with Ananda Chakrapani and Getup Srinu at the conclusion are nice, and he did a fantastic job portraying the hero’s father.

Negative Points:

While the premise of Raju Yadav’s work is intriguing, the screenplay falls short in this regard. The creative team was unable to turn the intriguing concept into an exhilarating ride. The majority of the movie is dull, with badly written moments that don’t say anything.

The audience was prompted to examine Raju Yadav’s heroine’s portrayal since it bears a strong parallel to the female lead roles in a few successful blockbuster films. As a result, nothing very interesting happens in the film, and it’s easy to predict where it will end. Despite Ankitha Kharat’s excellent performance, the well-known plot thread makes it difficult for us to relate to her role.

The whole thing isn’t just that the movies are similar. Raju Yadav has a lot of dull scenes throughout the movie and no emotional depth outside of the climax sequences. Many sequences are difficult to see, hence the editing is subpar.

The technical aspects:

The song quality is mediocre for Harshavardhan Rameshwar. Suresh Bobbili did an ok job with the background score. Along with respectable production qualities, Sai Ram’s cinematography is good.

Krishnamachary’s direction isn’t very good. Despite using a tried-and-true template, the writers’ writing falls flat. Inconsistencies in the hero’s behavior and a lack of clarity plague the film.

Conclusion:

Raju Yadav is a boring romance drama overall with a plot that has been overdone recently. Getup Srinu does a decent job portraying the character, and a few entertaining situations work. However, the remainder of the film is incredibly dull, and the action is inconsistent. Raju Yadav is therefore a poor film to watch.
