We see crazy figures of Rajinikanth fees breaking the internet for every film, but this time it’s on another level. According to rumors, the superstar is asking 260-280 crores for Thalaivar 171. Before settling on this salary, Rajini is said to have been offered distribution rights for a specific region, which he declined.
If the rumor is true, Rajinikanth has made history by becoming the highest-paid actor in Asia. Interestingly, this is not the first time Rajini has topped the Asian list, having previously surpassed Jackie Chan’s earnings.
Sun Pictures, which also produced Rajinikanth’s Jailer, is producing Thalaivar 171 for the uninitiated. Following the success of Nelson’s film, Kalanithi Maran (owner of Sun Pictures) presented Rajini with a BMW X7 and a profit-sharing cheque.
