Prema Vimanam Telugu Movie Review: Prema Vimanam tells the story of two young boys named Devansh and Anirudh Nama, who want to travel despite having limited resources. They earnestly fantasize about taking a flight despite not having the money to do so. Mani (Sangeeth Shobhan), a carefree individual, develops feelings for his next-door neighbor Abhitha (Saanve Megghana). Their chemistry grows, but Abhitha’s mother learns about their relationship. The rest of the story develops as their lives experience unanticipated turns.
Plus Points
The tale of the two children is moving. It is chock-full of heartfelt, innocent, and humorous elements. The kids’ determination to pursue their desires to the fullest extent is compellingly depicted. Prema Vimanam is Devansh Nama and Anirudh Nama’s first film, which is hard to comprehend. The children exhibit such skills. Every time you see them, they are cute. Their scenes with Vennela Kishore in particular are fascinating.
The scenes in which the kids and the couple cross paths at a pivotal point in the movie are very suspenseful. It is admirable how these two contrasting stories are connected. The framework for this is laid from the start, and so it fits into the story. Sangeeth Shobhan was convincing as a villager. He did an excellent job conveying rage, stress, and helplessness.
While Mad showed his comedic chops in Sangeeth Shobhan, Prema Vimanam demonstrated that he can also deliver emotional scenes. Saanvee Megghana is excellent in the role of Abhita. Her facial expressions are excellent, and she exudes assurance in her performance. Every song in the film is fantastic, and Anup Rubens did an outstanding job with them. Anasuya, Vennela Kishore, Supreeth Reddy, Raj Tirandasu, and Goparaju Ramana all performed admirably in their respective roles.
Minus Points
The love tale is uninteresting, even though the kids’ story is good. We have seen similar things for a long time, and they are pretty generic. There is nothing particularly unique about the way it addresses the caste issue. The situations were also overdone. However, it is effectively concluded.
The narration of the film is generally slow, and it can get monotonous at times. Given how long the movie is, a few unnecessary sequences may have been cut. The post-interval and conclusion scenes in particular drag a little. At the very end, there is a surprise that significantly lessens the effect. Recently, it has become overused, and as a result, the WOW effect is gone. Prema Vimanam contains a few scenes that would bring to memory earlier films.
Analysis
Anup Rubens made a tremendous impression with his fantastic tunes. Even the background music is excellent. Jagadeesh Cheekati’s cinematography is amazing. Words are not necessary to communicate a lot. When the kids learn of their father’s death, they tear a paper rocket. It denotes that the death of their father crushed their dreams. This brief scene is well-shot.
The production values are high. The editing might have been much better. Santosh, the director, performed a mediocre job with Prema Vimanam. Santosh’s presentation of the kids’ narrative is successful. However, the love tale should have been told better.
Final Verdict
Overall, Prema Vimanam has a straightforward plot that follows two parallel threads. These stories demonstrate nothing new, but the way they are interconnected in the second half keeps things intriguing for the audience and ends as a decent OTT fare.
