Paw Patrol

Review of Paw Patrol: The Mighty Avengers for children, but without any captivating superpowers to keep them interested!

Review for PAW Patrol: The Mighty Movie: 2.5 out of 5 stars.

Starring: Finn Lee-Epp, James Marsden, Dan Duran, Kristen Bell, and Luxton Handspiker.

Director: Cal Brunker.

What’s Good: It’s a movie aimed at children, even younger than those who like Smurfs and Minions.

What’s Bad: It never stands out from the many other similar tales out there that create “cute Avengers” for children.

Toilet Break: You shouldn’t truly hold it if you can hold it for 90 minutes.

See or Not?: Only if you’re a die-hard fan of the show; everyone else may see Minions again and have more fun.

Available Through: Theater Release

1 hour 32 minutes of running time

User Evaluation:

The mighty pups escape a meteor strike organized by the villain Victoria Vance (Taraji P. Henson) under the direction of the clever 10-year-old human commander Ryder (Finn Lee-Epp).

When they dodge, they receive awesome superpowers that remind you of Team X-Men but with puppies. Every puppy, with the exception of dachshund Liberty (Marsai Martin), has some kind of power, from being a wrecking ball to a walking magnet.

Review of the film PAW Patrol: The Mighty Movie with a script analysis

The plot and script, which are the movie’s top 2 poor points, were written by Cal Brunker, Bob Barlen, and Shane Morris. But does it really matter? Would the kids even care if the plot was a direct liftoff from the 2018 spin-off of the program, which included a meteor landing into Adventure Bay and giving the dogs superpowers?

The sole song that elevates the film’s meaning beyond its true significance is the one that tackles Skye’s (Mckenna Grace, Ghostbusters: Afterlife) fears with the message “No pup’s too small!”

Movie Review for PAW Patrol: The Mighty Movie: Star Performance

Skye, a lovable 7-year-old cockapoo who is voiced by Mckenna Grace, takes up the spotlight while deftly avoiding her fears. Vee, played by Taraji P. Henson, is a laugh-inducing villain who is really weak and only exists to frighten children.

Numerous celebrities make guest appearances, including Kim Kardashian and her daughter North West as a spoiled poodle and one of the Pomeranian puppies, respectively, Chris Rock as a talking kitten, Lil Rel Howery as a television news presenter, and Serena Williams as a yoga instructor. All of them are only there in the movie because its producers, who are ostensibly trying to sell more stuff by enlisting prominent celebrities who are “parents,” want to engage their children and make quick cash.

Review of PAW Patrol: The Mighty Movie, including Music and Direction

A narrative that has been recounted several times before is successfully brought to life by Cal Brunker. Despite witnessing some hints of it in the middle, there is nothing like Pixar. Not a single item of the set would you bring with you or even leave in the car.
