Story:
Manohar (Abhinav Gomatam) is an artist whose life is turned upside down on the day of his wedding when the bride elopes. Because Manohar is uneducated and unsteady in life, the bride flees with another person, and his relatives mock him. Manohar is moved by this incident and decides to open an offset printing shop, so he learns Photoshop. Manohar enrolls in a coaching institute, where his instructor is Uma (Vaishali Raj). Manohar has a conflict with Rahul (Ali Reza). The story revolves around what happened later in Manohar’s life.
Plus Points:
The film is a sincere attempt to depict the life of a young person who aspires to achieve new heights. Abhinav Gomatam has stepped out of his comfort zone and delivered an earnest performance. Despite the fact that his role lacks a comedy element, Abhinav Gomatam’s subtle acting is memorable. Certainly, Masthu Shades Unnayi Ra depicts the other side of Abhinav Gomatam, and this film may help him land more roles.
Vaishali Raj, the female lead, is given an excellent role and performs admirably. Her scenes and the cute romantic track with the protagonist are enjoyable to watch. Nizhalgal Ravi played an important and impactful role. Others, such as Moin Mohammad, Ali Reza, Ananda Chakrapani, and Lavanya Reddy, perform well in their roles.
Both halves have some interesting moments, and the hero’s friend’s situational comedy works in some cases. Minus points:
Masthu Shades Unnayi Ra could have been much better if the team had taken more care with the emotional aspect. Because the film is about a character’s journey, adding more emotional depth to the narrative would have greatly improved the film. The film’s few emotional moments lack impact.
The film’s title is another major drawback. The film’s title and plot are completely different. The title, for the most part, shapes the audience’s perception of a film, and by choosing a fancy name, the producers have created an unrealistic expectation.
The climax scenes are dragged out, and the film becomes a little boring here because we know what happens at the end. The inferiority complex, which is discussed several times throughout the film, is not clearly portrayed.

Other than the music by Sanjeev and the background score composed by Samuel Aby, the technical aspects are subpar. The songs are well-written, and the background score complements the film’s positive tone. Improvements could have been made to the production values and cinematography. The editing is subpar, and the film feels lengthy and slow at times.
Director Thirupati Rao keeps the film lighthearted with simple moments and situational comedy. While some aspects of the film are handled well, the emotional portion requires better execution.
