Story
Senior police officer Rama Krishna (Srikanth Meka) works at Kotabommali Police Station with rookie recruits Ravi Kumar (Rahul Vijay) and Kumari (Shivani Rajashekar). Murali Sharma’s character, Home Minister Barisela Jayaraj, is determined to use caste politics to win the local elections. Plus Points
Although Kotabommali PS’s authors assert that they have just modified the main narrative of the Malayalam movie Nayattu, the full recreation is remarkably similar to the original. Nevertheless, the crew handled this problem with skill because of the careful casting and location choices.
With a subtle and admirable portrayal, Srikanth Meka captures the essence of a respectable police officer and a loving parent.
Varalaxmi Sarathkumar gives a polished portrayal of an investigating officer who adeptly balances her duty. Murali Sharma makes a good impression as an egocentric politician, and Rahul Vijay and Shivani Rajasekhar both make valuable contributions. For the movie, the remaining cast members give it their all.
The film’s strengths are undoubtedly the captivating pre-climax and climax. The writing department’s skillfully written language and the soundtrack work together to create a seamless whole for the plot.
Negative Points
Kotabommali PS addresses the political strain on the law and order system while having a simple premise. Even though the message was well presented through beautifully crafted sequences, the first half should have been faster to increase viewer interest.
A deeper emotional bond between Srikanth and his daughter may have made the spectator feel more invested in the conclusion.
Just like in the original, the story progresses slowly. The group squanders a chance to add energy by rewriting the first half of the script to make it a more interesting watch.
Technical Benefits
Although Teja Marni, the director, skillfully directs the picture without straying from the core of the original, a few screenplay adjustments in the first half may have added additional energy.
While the photography by Jagadeesh Cheekati is good, it might have been more immersive for a more exhilarating experience. Ranjin Raj’s score and music offer an intriguing dimension. In the early half, Karthika Srinivas R may have cut out a few sequences that weren’t essential. The production values are adequate.

Overall, Srikanth, Varalaxmi Sarathkumar, and Murali Sharma give strong performances in the enjoyable survival thriller Kotabommali PS. The first half’s slow tempo and the film’s constant somber tone, meanwhile, might not resonate with every audience member.
