There’s still no word on the new release date for Prabhas’s film Kalki 2898 AD. This sci-fi dystopian thriller was directed by Nag Ashwin. In Telugu and Hindi, the movie is being shot concurrently. Prakash Raj, Deepika Padukone, Disha Patani, and Amitabh Bachchan are also included.
Released on May 9, 2024, Kalki 2898 AD is now scheduled for release. However, according to numerous reports, the film’s producers will postpone it because Telangana and Andhra Pradesh’s elections fall within the same week. The movie’s May 31, 2024, release date was previously mentioned in rumors. Expected this week was the announcement. Nothing along those lines did, though, and May 31 is not thought to be a good day to release Prabhas’ picture.
Kalki 2898 AD Release Date Conundrum: Never-ending Difficulties
According to a story published by ETimes, the film’s distributors intended for it to be released on June 20, 2024. On the other hand, another report from Gulte claims that Bharateeyudu 2, also known as Indian 2, starring Kamal Haasan, will hit theaters in June. Since Kamal appears in Kalki 2898 AD as well, the producers do not believe a crossover with Haasan’s movie is a good idea.
Additionally, Prabhas’ Kalki 2898 AD’s creators are unsure of the best release date for their sci-fi thriller. It’s a big-budget movie, and several South Korean blockbusters will be opening in theaters in the second half of 2024. In addition to Jr. NTR’s Devara: Part 1, Thalapathy Vijay’s The Greatest of All Time, also known as The Goat, and Allu Arjun’s Pushpa 2 in August, there are many other amazing movies on the schedule.
All we can do at this point is wait for an official release date to be announced by the producers. It appears improbable that the Prabhas and Deepika Padukone film will hit theaters on May 9. With less than a month to go, the filmmakers haven’t released a poster or teaser to build anticipation for the trailer.
