George Miller’s abduction of young Furiosa captures our attention right away. The early pursuit sequence lays the groundwork for the relentless action that follows. As we discover Dementus and his brutal rule over the terrible Wasteland, where humanity has devolved into vulturous behavior, we meet significant characters such as Immortan Joe, Rictus, Scabrous, and Praetorian Jack. In the first half, Chris Hemsworth impresses as the hilariously annoying Dementus, effortlessly capturing the character’s foul and filthy behavior.
Anya Taylor –Joy joins the film in the second hour, her eyes blazing with fury and vengeance. While the plot’s outcome is fairly obvious, George Miller’s prequel to ‘Mad Max: Fury Road’ shines in its gripping action sequences. A long struggle on the Fury Road keeps you on the edge of your seat, owing in part to Simon Duggan’s outstanding cinematography, which portrays the intricate turmoil of these moments. However, the film’s various action sequences and its runtime leave you eager for Furiosa’s climactic retaliation. Unfortunately, the anticipated final battle falls short of its predicted impact. It is eclipsed by a stronger scene starring Praetorian Jack and Furiosa.

Despite having few lines, Anya Taylor-Joy captures Furiosa’s strong determination with her expressive portrayal. Taylor-Joy, tasked with living up to Charlize Theron’s legendary part, keeps us immersed in Furiosa’s quest and delivers an outstanding performance. Aylyla Browne, who plays young Furiosa, also delivers an excellent performance, displaying bravery and innocence in the face of mayhem.

George Miller founded the Mad Max universe in 1979 and has continued to offer incredible stories ever since. He is well familiar with Fury Road and the Wasteland, and he directs the fight sequences in such a way that we are fascinated by their action choreography. Even though Furiosa focuses on its titular character, George recognized that the enemy needed to be particularly despicable to highlight Furiosa as a ferocious fighter who is ready to tackle any challenge head-on.
Tom Holkenborg composed the film’s score, which effectively heightens suspense during the action scenes. While the music helps us feel more immersed in the action, it can be a little loud at times.
