On his 29th birthday, BTS frontman RM wrote a long personal greeting to his followers. Continue reading to find out how he feels about BTS ARMY.
The South Korean boy band BTS, which also includes RM, Jimin, Jin, J Hope, Suga, and Junkgook, has gone global. The group has a big global fanbase that is notorious for going out of their way to give their heroes lavish gifts on their birthdays. However, on the occasion of BTS member RM aka Kim Nam-joon’s 29th birthday, the member delivered a touching message on Weberse.
In his letter, RM reaffirmed his love for the ARMY and stated that while he cannot embrace every fan, they should know that his feelings are much deeper. However, this is not the first time the BTS member has shown his affection for the fans. Previously, in an interview with Rolling Stone India, RM discussed how the BTS fans assisted him when he felt “he couldn’t go on in this industry.”
“When we go abroad and they shake our hands or in the letters when they say, ‘Namjoon, you changed my life,’ or ‘Your song inspired me,” RM told Rolling Stone India in 2017. That was one of the most important factors in maintaining my energy for years.”
RM has also stated that whenever he believes he is unable to stay in the industry, he considers the fans. “Their voices that say, ‘All your songs, all your lyrics changed me, changed my life, and made me chase my dream again…'” I see that and I simply cannot give up. I sincerely appreciate it. They are transforming my life by stating I changed their lives.”
Now, on his birthday, he went to his Weverse account and typed, “Hello. It’s the last birthday of my twenties. I’m not sure if it’s because of the nature of my profession, but birthdays are always accompanied by a hint of shyness. I consider it an ordinary day, but because so many people really compliment me, I feel very happy and blessed. I often consider the idea that love is like naming someone. Until Kim Namjoon becomes Kim Namjoon. It is only one day out of 365, but the fact that this day does not feel like just another passing day to the twenty-nine-year-old me is due to you all.”
“On receiving the sincerities I always thought should I try receiving them once as a downpour, the me who considered pessimism and futility as cool, I realized that I am also a temperamentally optimistic person,” read a section of RM’s letter, which was formerly known as Twitter. Isn’t this a miracle? “These days, I live with the thought, ‘Why not?'”
