The authors and actors are well aware of the history of the book and the desires of Polin fans. And the season with Colin and Penelope, more than with Kate and Anthony, is the most sensual and sultry that the show has ever produced. The most anticipated parts are revealed, particularly the scene with the carriage. Both the body language and chemistry seem natural. But Nicola Coughlan is the show’s jewel, the star of the show this season, and every one since. She is a joy in every way; this season, the contrast between her vulnerability and insecurity and watching her blossom, works best.
In contrast to his reserved manner, Luke Newton emerges as a man not only admired by the ladies of the ton but also by us spectators. His realization, character, and numerous sultry moments are all deep and captivating. We will save our praise for Part 2, but their chemistry is deserving of five stars. Season 3’s other characters and subplots are superior to those from previous seasons. It is the various subplots that make it sing, even though Polin is excellent. Whether it is Cressida’s wish to be friends with Eloise or the simple fact that Lady Danbury and Queen Charlotte are role models. Review of Bridgerton Season 3 Part 1: What Works and What Doesn’t
The season moves quickly, and the widely anticipated change of Penelope—spoiler alert—occurs 10 minutes into the first episodes. It seems as though they merely wanted to cut off a moment that awaited viewers. It seems unjust to the lead pair that Francessa is receiving a lot of attention this season. A lot of this could be explained by the way that Eloise and Penelope are friends. There was more to be discovered about the friends-to-lovers concept. The friendship between Colin and Penelope is just starting to blossom when the desire starts. However, they ought to have given their friendship some room to grow. Penelope was starting to feel at ease with the playful banter.
The show is currently circulating in its interwoven themes, having been there, done that.
Penelope and Colin don’t have any major disagreements because of his hesitation. The real tension arises when he eventually learns that Penelope is Lady Whistledown. Thus, even though the newest season makes an effort to delve further, it falters at times.

The lead couple has excellent chemistry, and the romance element of the program is handled skillfully. If that were the only criterion, the program would receive a five-star rating from me because I genuinely think that the pairing for this season is the best, and if it hadn’t succumbed to the pressure to jump right in and do everything, the first half may have been the finest as well.
There are a few bumps on the road as Part 1 sets up a lovely scene for Penelope and Colin’s journey from friends to lovers. Consequently, Part 1 leaves more questions unanswered as we wait another month for Polin’s story to come to a close.
