Review:

Seeing producers from the 1980s and 1990s trapped in a time warp is a little perplexing. Producer of this movie and well-known for hits like “Aankhen” and “Shola Aur Shabnam,” Pahlajj Nihalani, continues to believe that audience-building tactics from the past may still bring people into theaters. However, “Anari is Backk” disproves him, demonstrating how much people’s tastes in movies have evolved. With mediocre acting, mediocre music, and an unclear plot, this movie is a sensory assault. “Anari is Backk” serves as a timely reminder that even the most well-known brands in the industry must stay up to date with emerging trends to avoid becoming historical footnotes.

The narrative of this movie centers on Rajveer (Nawab Khan), who resides in Haider Ali’s (Mithun Chakraborty) old home. Sincere Haider treats Rajveer like his own son and isn’t disturbed by his late rent payments, despite the fact that Rajveer struggles to make ends meet due to his unemployment. When Rajveer starts working for Kulpreet Narang (Anita Raj) in a pharmaceutical company, everything changes for him. He is unaware that he has developed feelings for Kulpreet’s daughter, Jaspreet. Concurrently, Jaspreet (Mishikka Chourasia) conceals her actual identity from Rajveer by feigning to be an ordinary worker and acting more like a ‘guy’ for her supervisor.

Both Nawab Khan and Mishikka Chourasia have much more acting to learn and develop. Their errors are clear, and their inexperience is evident on television. It’s probably better to avoid overanalyzing Mithun Chakraborty’s performance as it’s clear from it that he’s merely going through the motions. The conversation throughout the movie is unremarkable, leaving you to wonder how it made the cut.
It is extremely puzzling to learn that Munesh Rawat, who was David Dhawan’s chief assistant director during the latter’s successful period, failed to work any cinematic sorcery in his feature debut. Although Shakti Kapoor’s character displays a hint of planning in the opening scenes of the storyline, the intrigue is fleeting and disappears in a single scene.
