Aamir Khan responds when asked about Shah Rukh Khan’s ‘role’

Inquiries were made to Aamir Khan concerning Shah Rukh Khan’s denial of having played “any role” in the release of senior Indian Navy officers from Qatar and whether or not he was involved “in a diplomatic row.”

Recently, actor Shah Rukh Khan ‘unequivocally’ denied that he was involved in securing the release of eight Indian Navy veterans in Qatar, claiming that the Indian government was solely responsible. During an interview with TV9 Bharatvarsh, Aamir Khan was asked about Shah Rukh’s alleged ‘role’ and whether he had ever been asked to assist ‘in a diplomatic row’ by a government.

Did Aamir assist the government ‘in a diplomatic row’?

Aamir Khan clarified that he had received approaches from various governments and government agencies asking for his assistance in distributing social media messages, but he did not address any “diplomatic rows.” “Hai daffa, sarkar jo hai, ya jo bhi alag alag sarkarein jo hai, wo public social messages ke liye request karti hai toh hamesha main uske liye hazir rehta hoon,” he continued. I’m always available to help with that. Absolutely, I do make an effort to help however I can.

Aamir Khan has been vocal on social issues.

Aamir Khan, who hosted the TV show Satyamev Jayate from 2012 to 2014, frequently discussed social issues on the show, including honour killings, female foeticide, marital rape, political criminalization, untouchability, and other harsh realities of Indian society.

He also co-founded the Paani Foundation, a non-profit and non-governmental organization in Maharashtra that works to prevent droughts and manage watersheds. He has also appeared in socially conscious films such as Rang De Basanti, Taare Zameen Par, PK, and Peepli Live, among others.

Shah Rukh denied involvement in the release of Navy veterans.

BJP leader and former Rajya Sabha MP Subramanian Swamy tweeted earlier in February that PM Narendra Modi had arranged a “settlement” for the release of the eight veterans who had been detained for eighteen months on suspicion of spying, after seeking Shah Rukh Khan’s assistance. As a special guest of honor at the AFC Final, the actor recently traveled to Doha, the capital of Qatar.

The actor’s team refuted the assertion that he was involved in any way in “the release of India’s naval officers from Qatar,” writing on X and Instagram, “The office of Mr. Shah Rukh Khan says that any such assertions of his involvement are unfounded, emphasizing that the execution of this successful resolution solely rests with the Indian government officials and unequivocally denies Mr. Khan’s participation in this matter.”
