Varun Tej: The team behind Varun Tej’s next film Matka is working tirelessly to create an epic picture that spans 24 years.
Varun Tej’s forthcoming film Matka, which promises a genuine throwback experience for the audience, is now being filmed in Hyderabad, with major scenes involving the principal cast.
The production team has created massive sets to depict Vizag. This single, important schedule will last 35 days and is expected to cost over 15 crores. The filmmakers want to transport viewers back to the period in which the movie is set. A making-of video displays the film’s substantial pre-production work.
Varun Tej appears in a variety of looks in the video. In one moment, he is shown looking fashionable in a black tuxedo suit as the camera pans toward him. Another picture shows the film’s stage being built by the crew. The film shows production designers and the art department working diligently to create Matka’s universe.
Varun Tej arrives on set in a throwback attire near the conclusion of the video, and Meenakshi Chaudhary can also be seen walking with a spot boy. The video closes with the words “Shoot in Progress” and the film’s title card.

Matka is set in the late 1950s when gambling was prevalent in many prestigious cities. Varun Tej’s character is based on Ratan Khatri, the original Matka King, who rose to prominence by establishing numerous illegal gambling businesses and finally becoming a significant player in the gambling world.
Kishore Kumar G., Naveen Chandra, Nora Fatehi, Meenakshi Chaudhary., Ajay Ghosh, and Vijay Ramaraju play pivotal roles in the film. Karuna Kumar, who directed Uma Maheswara Ugra Roopasya, is in charge of the film. Mohan Cherukuri and Vijender Reddy Teegala are producing the film under the brand of Vyra Entertainment. Matka will be out in Telugu, Tamil, Hindi, Malayalam, and Kannada.
