Story:
The plot returns on eleven friends who have lived in a calm village of East Godavari since their childhood together. They started living an unfortunate life as C K Initially quarrels with Krishnan during the celebration of the Jathara feast which made them turn against each other and hence, everything changed for the worse for the entire inhabitants.
It depicts the impact of the reservation system on friends lives by demonstrating the caste mechanism and its connection to leaders in their village. All of the events, that happen in the movie, are in the village and misunderstanding, which happens in the village, is lethal. Committee Kurrollu has been well received by critics where comments about the filmmaking are related to interesting storytelling, impressive performances and appeal to the millennial generation. Agreement arises during the village’s Jathara festival, leading to an unexpected fallout that disrupts their friendship and the harmony of the community.
The narrative explores the impact of the reservation system on the friends’ lives, as they navigate the complexities of caste politics and the influence of powerful individuals in their village. The film delves into the intricacies of village life, where misunderstandings can have far-reaching consequences.
Review:
Committee Kurrollu has received positive reviews from critics, who have praised the film’s engaging storytelling, strong performances, and ability to connect with millennial audiences. For the greater part, the first half of the movie is quite decent and the director has addressed the issue of reservations so passionately.
Plus Points:
- Engaging Narrative: To sum up, some 90s comedy along with the mixture of strong emotional feelings during the reminiscence of childhood makes it interesting to watch for those who were born in the 90s or early 2000.
- Strong Performances: This film used a new cast the acting of which almost does not reveal their inexperience. The lead actors Sandeep Saroj, Yaswanth Pendyala, Eshwar Rachiraju and Trinadh Verma bring natural performances out their performances by getting out into the skin of their characters.
- Authentic Portrayal of Village Life: These locales of the village have come out quite well on screen and Edurolu Raju’s visuals capture the serene location of the Godavari river and the jubilance of the Jathara festival sequence.
- Thoughtful Approach to Issues: It presents the pros and cons of reservation in a very prestigious manner but in such a way that no one’s feelings are offended. First of all, the story is free from stereotypical imagery and cliched characters and becomes a straight realistic telling of a real-life experience.
- Anudeep Dev’s Music: Anudeep Dev has composed the music of the film which is well connected to the depth of emotions shown in the movie, as well as situational songs.
Minus Points:
- Predictable Narrative: However, some of the scenes and its plot are quite receiving social criticism and the movie can hold the audience with certain predictable events in between with little sluggish motion in the second half.
- Rushed Climax: Some fans of the movie may find that the scenes in the very last part immensely lack a certain criterion to impose cohesiveness to it all.
- Occasional Discomfort for Family Audiences: Despite this viewers might develop some sort of discomfort regarding their own family and loved ones; however, there are few such scenes in the film, which means it will be quite tolerable for most of the family audience.
Technical Aspects:
Committee Kurrollu has good substantive qualities, and Edurolu Raju’s cinematography portrays the lovely village’s complex look and the Jathara festival’s lively tone. Something has to be said for the production values here because, yes, they are better than most – but they are a part of the artistry.
Anwar Ali once again stood up to the expectations in making the viewers glued to the screen through editing & Anudeep Dev offers soul & situational music.
Performance:
The actors are great, especially the newcomers this movie is their rehearsal for the great future in cinema. Of all the lead characters, Trinadh Verma, who has played Subbu looks very natural and Eshwar Rachiraju who has infused some variation into the sinister portrayal of William should be praised. Saravaagam Prasad Behara from Pellivaaram Andi also plays his part well, which brings the maximum lauding, and least force here. The portrayal of Subbu and Eshwar Rachiraju’s expressive range as William is particularly noteworthy. Prasad Behara, known for his work in Pellivaaram Andi, also delivers a memorable performance, generating the most laughs organically.
MoviePopTime Review:
Committee Kurrollu has moved me emotionally. It depicts a group of friends and concentrates much on what they meet in their childhood in the countryside.
The first half was so good with humour and relatable events that we would directly relate ourselves with our childhood days. The youngsters in the picture were good and rightly complemented by the talents of Sandeep Saroj and Trinadh Varma.
However the second part is not as convincing as the first one, There were many emotions to depict in some scenes and the movie idea was quite stereotypical. However, it is a quite tolerable drama about young people growing up, which stirs the feeling of nostalgia and reveals something of the nature of friends to early viewers. It’s worth a watch for those who enjoy touching coming-of-age tales.
Conclusion:
*Committee Kurrollu* shows great potential for director Yadhu Vamsi and his team, offering a captivating glimpse into village life. Its strength lies in the warm comedy and emotion of the first half, and its nostalgic appeal to millennials. While the narrative feels blunt and the climax synthetic, the actors and director showcase their promise.
Despite its flaws, such as the predictable narrative and rushed climax, Committee Kurrollu showcases the potential of both the actors and the director. If this team is to successfully further their skills in the future, they could go to higher levels in the future. Since I am quite particular when it comes to these football films in Hollywood, I am very much supportive of this one because it has a positive message and it popularises those issues that are very sensitive that can encourage the people who will be watching this kind of movie.
