Review:

It has once again polarised its audience and the critics in ‘Part Three of Justice League Crisis on Infinite Earths’. Some people recall the neverending fights thinking it’s quite Gameloft forrische ambitious while some scenes can warm the audience’s hearts but be as slow as in a snail and no character building at all. The film can evoke the excitement of saying goodbye to DC’s Animated series’ long-term fanettes but confuse DC Animated series starters.

Positives:

  • Ambitious Scope: This film seeks to translate a very convoluted comic story and action into animation and all characters from different galaxies of the DC series.
  • Strong Voice Acting: Jensen Ackles doing background voice for Batman and Darren Criss doing the same for Superman has given the characters a lot of depth. Corey Stoll who played the character of Lex Luthor is an interesting touch.
  • Emotional Moments: Many sequences provide a good representation of the theme of sacrifice and heroism within the tapestry of characters that the target audience may become familiar with.
  • Nostalgic Cameos: It is also gratifying to see that some of the characters that were left hanging around other DC animated series get folded into the Teen Titans series.

Negatives:

  • Pacing Issues: Analyzing the plot and tempo, it is possible to note that the main problem facing the tempo regulation of the picture is the inability to equally control both exposition and characterization, which caused critics to name the slowed tempo in the first two parts of the picture.
  • Predictable Plot Points: This might even pose a problem to some of the viewers in that they can guess some of the incidents likely to happen in a given story.
  • Underdeveloped Supporting Characters: While giving attention to such characters, many of the secondary roles remain flat and can be developed more to give them some screen space to help the value of the story.

Technical Aspects:

  • Direction: Despite being Jeff Wamester’s show, they manage to provide continuity across the board but still fail in terms of alternating action and depth.
  • Animation Quality: Of course, the animation can be satisfactory throughout most of the scenes and other critiques also point to the television which they note lacks artistic merit which is typical of most of the DC animated films.
  • Editing: The editing becomes fast enough for the action and perhaps even slightly slow at moments to maintain the movie on the highest level.

Performance:

Jensen Ackles does it well and does a good job delivering the different phases of Batman or the logic behind their fight against justice. Darren Criss performs very well as a Superman who is kind and heroic. As Supergirl, Meg Donnelly is very convincing and Corey Stoll does an enjoyably manipulative Lex Luthor. The performers too do a decent job, though, the ensemble calls for more characterization for secondary characters.

Moviepoptime Review:

I have watched almost all animated films by DC. And this has to be thought of as the best possible shot for any funny ending to a movie, one befitting of science fiction. It’s not your typical DC animated feature but everything ended happily ever after. The animation of the new universe needs to be better than the motion picture produced before the Apolliplips War. So then if one is in for some mystery kind and not that much of action this is something for the movies to look at.

Conclusion:

‘Justice League Crisis on Infinite Earths Part Three’ is an apt closer to the Tomorrowverse trilogy and packs in adequate action and choked-up moments for the fans of the animated DC Universe. As such, paced more like a necessary evil and with some very predictable moments which fans of mystery-solving shows might find off-putting, the show is a great watch if only for the nostalgia trip and the cast. All in all, again, this instalment is enjoyable and attempts to honour the source and offer a tease of what any other future DC animated will be like to come.
