But he has a liking for Prem (Aditya Seal), a man he meets at the airport in the capital city, New Delhi, while on his way to London.

In the years that follow Amar and Prem defy their cultural Indian upbringing and commit to each other in London but face opposition from traditionalist families. Cultural barriers and family traditions come into play when they have to make preparations for their wedding. Adding layers of tension and humour into the plot is Mandy (Pranutan Bahl) who harbours wife aspirations for Amar.

The movie combines humour with romance and reveals the main idea about present-day couple issues and love.

Review:

Viewed as an Indian soap opera, Amar Prem Ki Prem Kahani gives the audience both a light and heartening view of modern Indian society, and a food for thoughts on the concept of love. Like any other movie, the film under discussion benefits from several advantages; however, it also has some disadvantages that have a considerable influence on the result.

Plus Points:

  • Engaging Premise: It remains interesting to see first, homosexual themes portrayed within the context of a conservative family which makes them topical second. It considers the culture of the society within which it is set but does so using humour.
  • Strong Performances: Sunny Singh and Aditya Seal are good and give the film their hundred per cent along with adding substance to their roles. Their chemistry is believable and they make good lovers hence the Love Story.
  • Humour and Heart: Add a pinch of comedy with a touch of emotional feelings, and all is well in the usual frequency of the movie. After much laughter, some moments create audience appeal and are convincingly funny.
  • Cinematic Quality: The use of cinematography gives life to both Punjab and London providing a great boost to the tale being told.

Minus Points:

  • Predictable Plot: Despite the interesting premise, there are certain plot twists with which many will find themselves having a sort of déjà vu, which means decreased tension for some people.
  • Character Development: Some of the side characters are underdeveloped, and their past is unknown, so fans have no choice but to have little connection to the show.
  • Pacing Issues: Experienced in the presented motion picture some problems with timing, especially in the middle of the movie when not much exciting is happening.

Technical Aspects:

The technical execution of Amar Prem Ki Prem Kahani contributes significantly to its appeal:

  • Direction: Before extending the review, Hardik Gajjar accomplishes a fine balance where social issues can be discussed along with comedy This, however, should have been more tightly framed at certain points.
  • Cinematography: The colours are strong and agreeable, and give a correct depiction of life in modern London as well as traditional Punjab.
  • Editing: Except for some sequence infusion, overall, the film felt compact like a well-bound book – but not as tense as one would expect for a heist flick. This would help in the interaction of the viewer with the film, throughout the session.
  • Soundtrack: It also has great songs that fit the story perfectly since the framework is built around love, celebration and dancing.

Performance:

The performances in Amar Prem Ki Prem Kahani are one of its standout features:

  • Lead Actors: In Amar, Sunny Singh simply delivers the character of a man in between tradition and his passion. Aditya Seal displays nice chemistry with Nini and their love story seems very real on screen especially thanks to Prem’s charm played by Aditya Seal.
  • Supporting Cast: Pranutan Bahl plays Mandy well, which is a complicated character and she explains her reason behind it well. Other actors also support the plot very well indeed.
  • Chemistry Among Cast: The cast chemistry to the characters was good; the feeling and interaction of the roles cast were real, and made the relation between characters seem real. This authenticity goes down very well with viewers.

MoviePopTime Review:

I recently watched Amar Prem Ki Prem Kahani and my feeling was a bit of curiosity and then a bit of a letdown. It is based on the love affair of Amar (Sunny Singh) and Prem (Aditya Seal) witnessing the propriety and norms of Indian society.

The concept itself hooked me, even more, with the theme of same-sex love established in the conservative environment. Nevertheless, I did not feel the chemistry between Amar and Prem, it looked so forced and very superficial. Complementing Mandy’s character of Pranutan Bahl was quite humorous but-Packaging of her character had the potential of being explored more genuinely.

There were some amusing scenes of comedy in the movie Those Who Are Fine, however, the overall storyline could easily be foreseen, plus the rhythm of the movie’s telling at times was monotonous. The set of the movie was marvelous especially the Punjabi and London standard was well captured in the movie but the cutting of the movie was not up to the mark.

Therefore, let me state that Amar Prem Ki Prem Kahani had the potential to address these themes: love, acceptance etc. I found it lacking in general for me. It is a funny watch but may not be quite as powerful if you are in the mood for something quite heavy on the relationships front.

Conclusion:

Thus Wolfram has brought the viewers an entertaining romantic comedy with the undertone of a humorously told romantic tale Amar Prem Ki Prem Kahani. It doesn’t revolutionise the shape of cinema or character portrayals but it provides entertainment for those who look for familiar feelings, accepting love stories.

The film is a message to people that love does not recognize culture, colour, or orientation. Wit and obstacles during the watching of the movie with Amar and Prem’s story make the audience think about what rejection means and consider himself and others.

Altogether, the film is a happy addition to recent Hindi cinema and the culture that it depicts; a fun-filled movie with a generous dose of love in all its avatars. I recommend it to anyone who loves the feel-good comedy with a message.
