Deepika Padukone is set to appear in the Telugu film ‘Kalki 2898 AD’. In Nag Ashwin’s science fiction mythological drama, the actress portrays Sumathi, a pregnant mother. Prabhas, Amitabh Bachchan, and Kamal Haasan also appear in the film. The filmmakers hosted an event in Mumbai on June 19, and the main actors attended to meet with the media.
Rana Daggubati held the Kalki 2898 AD celebration. At the event, he chatted with the actors about their experience working with Nag Ashwin on such a large production. Deepika Padukone, who is pregnant, joked about still being in character. The Piku actress also discussed Nag’s brilliant idea to make the film.

Deepika Padukone said about Nag Ashwin’s Kalki 2898 AD, “It is unlike anything we have experienced or seen before.” I recall narrating this movie during COVID. I was on the other end, and there was Nagi. Even though this is only his second or third film, I believe you will see flashes of brilliance in him, as Kamal sir stated. You could see that he was telling the story entirely from memory rather than from much written down.
The Jawan actress went on, “He always spoke with such clarity that you could see the whole picture of what he had imagined throughout the years when you looked into his eyes, even now. You can hear him talk only at that moment—and I mean it positively. Being engrossed and passionate about that one thing is the reason he speaks so well.
