Did you know that Sandeep Reddy Vanga did not initially consider Rashmika Mandanna for Animal? Learn who and what happened by reading!
Animal, starring Ranbir Kapoor, is already trending on social media and generating a lot of buzz around the country. Rashmika Mandanna and Anil Kapoor will also play important parts in the film. But did you know that the film’s director, Sandeep Reddy Vanga, has someone else in mind for the female lead instead of Rashmika?
That is correct, indeed. But for some reason, Sandeep was unable to work with that actress on the part, so Mandanna was brought on board. Which actress are we referring to, and what happened? See it by scrolling below.
When Animal first came out, Sandeep Reddy Vanga said that Parineeti Chopra would play the lead role because he believed in her acting skills in spite of her low market value. However, as numerous reports have stated, during the trial shoots, he discovered that she was unfit for the part. At that point, he announced that he had to cut her out of the role because the significance of the movie took precedence over all other considerations.
Rashmika Mandanna was cast for the Geetanjali role at that time. But as word spread about Parineeti Chopra taking over, rumors circulated that she had left the project due to scheduling conflicts with another project. Each day, we have to make such decisions. You make the decision that’s best for you.
Rashmika has been facing criticism for one of her dialogues ever since the trailer was unveiled. I was aware that someone would react in a particular way. People tend to talk with their teeth clenched when they are experiencing a particular emotion. It has only received more views, in my opinion, because it was left in the trailer. It will make more sense when you consider it in the context of the movie’s larger scene.
So, in your opinion, could Parineeti Chopra have played Animal more convincingly than Rashmika Mandanna?
