Story:
The movie begins three years after the appearance of the reapers – titansque monstrous insects that destroyed ninety-five percent of humanity. The few people that were left alive moved to higher grounds since the reapers could not find them at such places. Will currently lives in the Rocky Mountains with his son Hunter, a child who has to be on an oxygen ventilator because of respiratory issues that are caused by the lack of oxygen in the mountains.
When Hunter’s oxygen filters run out, Will faces an impossible choice: go down into the dangerous world below 8000 feet to get some fresh supplies or lose his son. He is accompanied by a lady scientist named, Nina whom the viewers meet after she survives an attack by the reapers and has useful information. Katie also offers herself to go with them and support their course.

The concept is cool. In the same way that the concept of creatures cannot ascend to a certain height. I decided to watch the movie after watching the trailer and recognizing Morena Baccarin and Anthony Mackie starring. A Quiet Place-like movie is what I expected from this one but this movie lacked the intensity and the characters. Yet the main characters are simply five – a physicist, a father and son, a dead wife/mother, and a friend, in the movie and we don’t know much about them.
As soon as we find some crumb about the creatures the movies are over. What didn’t work so well was a lack of closure in the end scene of the movie. The mid-credits scene is teasing more but I don’t know does this movie deserves a sequel. However, a sequel movie would be able to satisfy all the unanswered questions… or rather too many questions.
Conclusion:
