Story:

Jawan is the story of Azad Rathore who is a jailor of women’s prison and who has a group of women fighters. He raises against and names a psychopathic weapons dealer Kaali portrayed by Vijay Sethupathi who arms anyone willing and rejects bribes. Involving overlapping time schemes, there are different points of view that complex Azad’s real intentions regarding personal loss and social inequality.

There are themes like political corruption, state of the health care and voting system that run through the movie and it also includes action. However, Jawan has received favorable reviews from local as well as international critics most of the time.

Review:

Jawan has received predominantly positive reviews from critics and audiences alike. The movie has been well received by the critical rousing that states that the story is grandiose, and like any epic movie great action scenes and that the cast especially the lead character Shah Rukh Khan deserves more attention. The film has been considered a ‘masala’ film and it gives proper entertainment with a social message which attracts a large section of the audience.

Positive Points:

  • Entertaining Action: The movie contains lots of scenes in which adrenaline pulses are on the highest score, shootouts, and robberies that all along contribute to the suspense of the entire movie.
  • Strong Performances: The most promoted aspect is the dualism of the actor Shah Rukh Khan in both Azad Rathore and Captain Vikram Rathod’s characters.
  • Social Commentary: Issues including corruption and social justice, remain relevant in society and are therefore dealt with in the film.
  • Female Empowerment: It also Triumphs the independence of all the female characters and presents them as equal to the hero of the movie, Khan.

Negative Points:

  • Length and Pacing: However, few reviewers wished that it could have been shorter; this movie is nearly three hours long but could very well have been shorter.
  • Predictable Twists: On the same, however, some of the movie’s viewers noted that the movie has unending twists that are not suspenseful in the least.

Technical Aspects:

In general, the critics can be considered to be quite positive about the technically related questions of the film, which could be the problems with the camerawork, or even the sound mix. The film features:

  • Cinematography: Through high-energy work, the visuals are quite appealing throughout the action scenes as well as the dramatic ones.
  • Soundtrack: Since, the songs for the movie are again by Anirudh Ravichander, some of the singles like ‘Zinda Banda’ and ‘Chaleya’ are very popular among the young ones because the peppy numbers that form part of the music score in the movie fit the context of the movie.
  • Visual Effects: Tentatively, now the most cinematic is with action scenes, and where the visuals are employed, best, all things considered, it is pretty attractive.

Performance:

Here, the hero is Shah Rukh Khan, who is quite helpful for the film’s success giving an idea about its entire plot. He is funny and intense at the same time – a real life-loving charismatic psychopath or a suffering avenger. His counterparts such as Nayanthara and Vijay Sethupathi also did justice to it and have paid consideration to their roles as well. The use of actors who acted as well as talented actresses representing the woman side of Khan also adds to the movie’s content.

MoviePopTime Review:

Jawan has been fun throughout and has delivered a completely adventurous feel throughout the movie. Azad is a jailor in a women’s prison in Mumbai who uses his inmates to pull off robberies for a cause. Because of the fast-moving action sequences in addition to the strong use of suspense in some elements of the picture it mostly made me rather anxious.

Khan gets into the skin of Azad in style and plays his part with a tremendous amount of ease as he turns a man avenging his sister’s death into a fighter against injustice. Both Deepika Padukone and Nayantara are equally good and are capable of giving a realistic touch to the movie.

One major advantage of Jawan is its social relevance which makes Jawan even more impressive. On this aspect, it is quite interesting and induction, it deals with some of the more serious issues in society which include; farming difficulties, health and even the environment. The last twenty minutes are great and the bonus of Azad transforming back to Vikram Rathore just adds to the excitement.

Jawan is worth watching if only for the direction, the cinematography and the special effects, but most of all it is a feast for the eyes. It is one for the watch due to its powerful narrative, good acting performance and the Message behind it. It came and it’s a great action flick with emotions and I recommend any action movie fanatic to watch it.

Conclusion:

For the first time, Shah Rukh viewers are offered mass entertainment and at the same time, Shabana Azmi’s cameo presents them with small doses of commentary on the society. There are lots of social themes to be discussed within the framework of the film and at the same time the movement and the action do not end – this explains why the picture was so commercially successful. Yet one can come up with the criticism that it is too long and rather predictable – and, compared to the impact of the film, it is quite a small number of drawbacks.

Thus, that is why Jawan is not only a movie, which is filled with new brilliant action scenes; it is a picture, that can provide information about several aspects of present-day society, which is why Jawan could be interesting for those individuals, who prefer action films and probably for those people who want to watch the movie reflecting some trends in the modern world. This must remain one of the most effective proofs of the relevance and popularity of such a play.
