Plus Points

  • Aamir Khan’s Performance: The other important character going for a performance is Aamir Khan playing the character of Mahavir Singh Phogat for which he has commitment, ardor and realistic emotions.
  • Strong Performances by the Young Actors: The girl-inventing roles of Geeta and Babita’s young age are played to the T by Zaira Wasim and Suhani Bhatnagar respectively whose performance forms the base for the emotional orographic map of the movie.
  • Engaging Narrative: The script of the film has been penned by Nitesh Tiwari, Shreyas Jain, Piyush Gupta and Nikhil Mehrotra, It seems to have a good script for telling the story of the Phogat family- be it personal or professional.
  • Pritam’s Music: However, the related incidental music and song, both the filmi and performing by Pritam Chakraborty like Dhaakad or Gilehriyaan, also boost up the storyline and rate of emotions as well. Yes, somehow Dangal, in addition to being a commercial entertainer aims at giving out a message that girls have to break the shackles of the stereotypical norm of Indian society which does fiancé them from pursuing their dreams like boys can, and thus public of all age groups will leave with some motivation. Performances by the Young Actors: Zaira Wasim and Suhani Bhatnagar, who portray the young Geeta and Babita, respectively, deliver impressive performances that set the foundation for the film’s emotional journey.
  • Inspiring Message: Dangal delivers a powerful message about gender equality, breaking stereotypes, and the importance of pursuing one’s dreams, making it an inspiring watch for audiences of all ages.

Minus Points

  • Predictable Moments: Overall, the audience appeared to be hooked on the movie, however, some of them complained that some of the twists within the second part of the film were easily foreseeable.
  • Length: A potentially interesting mix of scenes that can hook the viewers and others that can put them to sleep is the main idea behind this film, which is 2 hrs 41 min long. It’s important to point out that Dangal has quite a few impressive technicalities with one of the biggest being Setu’s scene dynamics – especially the kB. Difficult wrestling sequences along with intense character intimacy moments.1 minute, the film’s runtime may feel lengthy for some viewers, especially during the slower-paced segments.

Technical Aspects:

Dangal showcases impressive technical aspects, with Setu’s cinematography capturing the gritty atmosphere of the wrestling matches and the emotional moments between the characters. Other aspects in the production include Laxmi Keluskar belonging to the art department and Sandeep Meher has been assigned to take responsibility for the set design and location props of the Phogat family being simple along with the wrestling mat and ring etc.

The credit for editing goes to Ballu Saluja and there is no shot seen on the screen which is slow or elongated. Special mention deserves the wrestling fights’ choreography by Kripashankar Patel Bishnoi which gives an intentional look to the wrestling scenes on the ropes.

Performance:

Besides the remarkable acting by Aamir Khan, the movie involved an excellent cast who also made great acting. Both the ladies Fatima Sana Shaikh and Sanya Malhotra have done a reasonably good job of portraying the wrestler and the person in the two grown-up ladies Geeta and Babita.

Following a successful career on the small screen, Sakshi Tanwar is passably good as Mahavir’s wife, Daya Kaur. Contributing to the film’s effect are such actors as Aparshakti Khurana, Girish Kulkarni, and Vivan Bhatena as well.

MoviePopTime Review:

This year, it has been close to two decades since I did not sit to watch a film but after listening to the words of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who said that Xi, the Chinese President had appreciated Aamir Khan starrer Dangal, I thought why not give Netflix’s Dangal a shot. To my mind, it is worth mentioning that I liked the movie. I would like to express my warm congratulations to the entire crew of the picture and, in particular, to Aamir Khan. He acted so well that I was close to crying.

I like the movies and the plot was great with excellent visuals that accompany the movie. The movie depicted the women characters in Gita, Babita and his mother as strong and as realistic characters as possible so they won me.

At last, Dangal is a film that every Indian can appreciate and be proud of.
