For those who don’t know, Deven and Shah Rukh most recently collaborated on the film Dunki, which was released a year ago. In the movie, Deven was Puru Patel, an advocate. The two of them had acted together in a few movies before this, and they had been close friends over the years. But their first collaboration wasn’t without its problems.
Recently, Deven Bhojani revealed how Shah Rukh Khan dispelled his misconception in an interview with Laksh Maheshwari. “This was immediately after Jo Jeeta Wohi Sikandar,” he explained. I was chosen to play Shah Rukh Khan’s buddy. He was this new kid on the street with an attitude, or so I’d heard. Additionally, I had heard that he had made some hurtful remarks against Amitabh Bachchan and Dilip Kumar in interviews.
“On the first day, I went and introduced myself to the other actors, but I was hesitant about introducing myself to Shah Rukh,” Deven Bhojani continued. What if, upon learning who I was, he responded with a “So what?” Thus, I kept quiet. He said, “I turned to look behind me, and there was Shah Rukh.” Greetings, I’m Shah Rukh, he said. In Jo Jeeta Wohi Sikandar, you were very talented.
Even after working with Shah Rukh Khan for a long time, Deven talked about his experience. He disclosed that Shah Rukh had called him “Deven sir” when they were filming Dunki.
