Rajkummar Rao’s Srikanth expands significantly in its second weekend, exceeding 26 crore and aiming for a healthy run at the box office.
On Sunday, Srikanth had another surge in revenue, with 4.04 crores coming in. From 1.67 crores on Friday and 2.82 crores on Saturday to this figure, the film has been steadily increasing, even as it enters its second weekend. While Saturday growth was expected, an increase in receipts on Sunday demonstrates that the picture has received positive feedback from audiences.
Srikanth earned over 9 crores throughout the weekend, which is not much of a decline from the first weekend’s 11.95 crores. The fact that there isn’t much competition has also aided the film, and in some ways, it has neutralized IPL competition because audiences are giving this one a warm handshake.
The Rajkummar Rao film has now earned 26.57 crores, and it is expected to earn at least 30 crores in its second week. It’s anticipated that over 1 crore will arrive every day at the very least, which will be sufficient to propel Srikanth to a level where earning 40 crore would be a piece of cake. The real question is if the movie can manage to hang in there and try to reach that elusive 50 crores, which would be a very challenging goal to hit in all honesty.
