The film is a direct sequel to the 2022 success DJ Tillu, starring Siddhu Jonnalagadda back in his effective role of DJ Tillu and Anupama Parameswaran in the lead role as a female protagonist his role as the titular character, alongside Anupama Parameswaran, who takes on the female lead. The film contains features of romance, comedy, and crime In this film Tillu gets exposed to love and other odd factors in the backdrop of a colourful city.

Tillu Square was out in theatres on 29th March 2024. The film received much attention and reception appreciation because of the previous songs and success of DJ Tillu, and the characters in the movie creation surrounding the return of its beloved characters. Story:
Picking from where DJ Tillu was ended and now Tillu, played by Siddhu Jonnalagadda is a successful DJ and wedding planner. Thus, having been through a few bad relationships himself, Tillu gets cold feet on the subject of commitment. But the story changes when he meets Lilly (Anupama Parameswaran) at a party in the film. They hit it off and immediately began dating which complicated the situation.
Further into the detail of this story, Tillu and Lilly become intimate, and Tillu’s aggressiveness resurfaces. Tillu has a small role of an antagonist as the much-loved character is introduced with the new challenge that forms the rest of the plot; Shaik Mahmood, a mafia don played by Murali Sharma. As the story unfolds Tillu starts to get involved in a series of comical and life-threatening situations all to shield Lilly from all sorts of Go home, Tillu; but the ghosts of his past would not leave him alone.
The main topics of the movie are love, friendship and how people live and struggle for this in the(unstable) environment. Tillu delivers laughter, funny antics and jokes, and unusual surprising turns in the story as the audience is entertained.

- Predictable Plot: Nonetheless, critics and viewers should agree that the film is entertaining Still, some of the twists can be predicted if the watcher knows the basic rules of romantic comedies.
- Pacing Issues: The pace of the movie may be uncoordinated and it may take time to get a scene or two to build up tension and on the other side some events are hurried through. It may be destabilised – and this could have impacts on the prospective flow of the narrative.
- Underdeveloped Supporting Characters: Though the main protagonists are well-rounded the secondary characters could use more history or depth in which they could be improved as a sub characters in the show.
Technical Aspects:
Tillu Square has a runtime of 135 minutes and is presented in a 2.39:1 aspect ratio. Sai Prakash Ummadisingu has taken charge of cinematography and does a good job with the locations and the dramatic scenes. Naveen Nooli’s editing helps to synchronise the investigations around the globe, but the pacing is hit-and-miss at times.
For music, Ram Miriyala and Achu Rajamani have made a good selection of the kind of tune that best suits the flavour of the movie whether the romantic aspect of the movie or the comedies. I also like that the film has brilliant songs that match the topic of the film which also adds additional bonuses.
Performance:
Tillu played by Siddhu Jonnalagadda, is a young man from a cheerful, jobless DJ to a confused man torn between love and responsibility. All these factors paired with the humorist’s ability to be a lovable and flawed protagonist make Mark. Anupama Parameswaran plays Lilly nicely and adds a good measure of charm and acting to her character. They share great chemistry thus complementing the film’s romantic aspect and making their relationship look real.
The negative role of the film said by Murali Sharma has been superb and increases the tension of the movie. Virtually all the other characters in the movie – Sangeeth Prathap and Muralidhar Goud, for instance – add to the general pleasantness of the movie; some characters seem to have been typecast though.

Even before entering Tillu, there is a great experience and it only gets better from there up to the square. I enjoyed this sequel to The Hilt due to its bright humour and sparkling cast made a good comedy for my taste. Da Camera da Operazione does not exactly reinvent the wheel or venture to strange territories, but it knows well how to entertain people for some hours.
The comedy used in the show is done perfectly well, with the cast also having good screen chemistry. If you noticed the first picture funny, then Tillu Square also retains the humorous shade and has no right to disappoint. It is just the type of film that can be recommended for getting some fun out of the movie-going experience without having to do something extraordinary on the screen.
Conclusion:
Therefore, Tillu Square can easily be coined as a romantic crime comedy that fulfils the basic goal set by the previous film DJ Tillu. The characters are powerful, the plot is interesting, and the representative of the comedy-drama genre makes the film rather close to the audience’s experience. Its main concerns are somewhat minor, such as niggling problems with pacing and predictability in the story, but the important aspects, namely the realities with which characters deal, are well done.
Despite its shortcomings and despite being a low-budget film Mallik Ram has come up with a neat romance film that is worth watching for all lovers of this genre especially those who are in for powerful performances from Sathish and Vasuki Sunkavalli supported superbly by M.S.Bhaskar, Vishwa Badola, Vasu, and all others from Tillu Square. All in all, Tillu Square is no less a positive shot in Telugu cinema as the youngsters were proved capable of capturing the urban youth scenario picturising storyline, strong performances, and a balance of humour and heart, the film resonates with audiences looking for relatable narratives.
While it may face minor issues with pacing and predictability, the film’s strengths lie in its authentic portrayal of characters and their journeys. Mallik Ram has crafted a charming film that explores the complexities of love and societal expectations, making Tillu Square a worthwhile watch for fans of the genre. Overall, Tillu Square stands out as a refreshing addition to Telugu cinema, showcasing the potential for storytelling that reflects contemporary youth culture.
